ZOLL MEDICAL HONORED BY PREMIER HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE WITH SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AWARD FOR PROVIDING CLINICAL AND FINANCIAL VALUE TO HOSPITALS
June 15, 2010─CHELMSFORD, MASS.– ZOLL Medical Corporation (Nasdaq GS: ZOLL), a manufacturer of medical devices and related software solutions, announced today that that it is a winner for the fourth consecutive year of the Supplier Performance Award presented by the Premier Healthcare Alliance. ZOLL is one of only 65 out of 800 contracted Premier suppliers to receive the Performance Award. The award was presented at the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C. on June 9.
Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and supplying medical devices that deliver both clinical and financial value to the not-for-profit hospital members of the Premier Alliance.
“This award is especially significant in that our key focus is advancing resuscitation care by designing medical equipment that helps clinical staff improve outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest, the leading cause of unexpected death worldwide,” said Jonathan A. Rennert, President of ZOLL. “To be recognized for both the clinical performance of our resuscitation devices and the financial value of this life-saving technology is an honor.”
“The Performance Award honors Premier-valued suppliers that strive for collaboration and performance excellence to benefit the Alliance and we are honored to recognize these top performers like ZOLL with this annual award,” said Premier Purchasing Partners president Mike Alkire.
Premier's Performance Award applauds the efforts of contracted suppliers to meet and exceed operational expectations. In selecting recipients, satisfaction and performance data are collected and scored over four successive calendar quarters. Feedback is provided during regular supplier business line reviews. Organizations scoring 80 percent or higher earn the Performance Award.
