Purchases of the ZOLL RescueNet ePCR Suite, a complete electronic patient care reporting solution, will be made as each location is deployed. If Rural/Metro proceeds with orders that fully deploy the RescueNet ePCR Suite, the orders would constitute the largest to date for the Company’s software subsidiary, ZOLL Data Systems, Inc., Broomfield, Colorado. Full deployment throughout Rural Metro would represent approximately $3.0 million of software and related services, and a nationwide rollout of RescueNet® ePCR Suite. This software suite is compatible with all manufacturers’ defibrillators. ZOLL also would provide training, support operations, maintenance, and project management to Rural/Metro. "We're very excited that Rural/Metro selected the leading electronic patient care reporting system in the industry. The system, with its intuitive user interface, can be up and running quickly and would allow them to dramatically reduce training for their medics," said David Brown, President of ZOLL Data Systems. Additionally, Rural/Metro has chosen ZOLL Advanced Life Support defibrillators as primary devices for its ongoing defibrillator renewal program. ZOLL has supplied Rural/Metro with 55 E Series and two M Series CCTs during ZOLL’s quarter ended March 30, 2008, with an expectation that additional units will be supplied over the next three to five years. Depending on quantities ordered, this separate arrangement could generate an estimated $8.0 million in additional revenue during that time. Richard A. Packer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZOLL, added, “This relationship represents an important and significant business arrangement for ZOLL. ZOLL is pleased to be able to offer a suite of resuscitation products to its customers.” About RescueNet ePCR Suite RescueNet® ePCR Suite combines the proven, easy-to-use TabletPCR product with a web-based PCR editor (RescueNet WebPCR) and advanced document routing for better QA/QI. It is designed to capture and allow access to all pre-hospital patient, clinical and system information on Tablet PCs and mobile computers. The RescueNet ePCR Suite simplifies data input and improves access to information. It offers dynamically configurable screens to capture patient care data; an easy-to-use, touch-screen user interface; advanced reporting of all data captured in the field; a graphical, configurable workflow editor for designing custom workflows for PCR reviews; and a web-based solution for reviewing and editing patient care reports.
