November 25, 2008Broomfield, Colo.—ZOLL Data Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZOLL Medical Corporation, announced today that the RescueNet® ePCR Suite v5.1 has been designated NEMSIS Gold Compliant Software by the NEMSIS TAC.

“We are proud to offer our customers a software solution that is NEMSIS GOLD Compliant.  With the Gold Compliance, our customers will be able to meet state and national reporting requirements that are critical to the goals of the NEMSIS project as well as those of the various state EMS offices,” said David Brown, President of ZOLL Data Systems.

NEMSIS TAC, or the National EMS Information System Technical Assistance Center, is the resource center for the NEMSIS project whose purpose is to define and develop a national EMS database.  Based upon the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration version 2.2.1 dataset, the NEMSIS project allows for a standard data set to be collected by EMS agencies across the nation.

The next version of RescueNet ePCR Suite will offer streamlined data entry from the full complement of NEMSIS data elements while preserving the rich user experience. The RescueNet ePCR Suite continues to provide a superior interface and the opportunity for agency-specific customizations to meet the demands of an EMS organization as well as state and national reporting requirements.
