ZOLL Announces Appointment of New President Of Pinpoint Technologies
Monday, November 10, 2003 – ZOLL Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: ZOLL), a manufacturer of non-invasive cardiac resuscitation devices, today announced that Vane P. Clayton has been appointed President of Pinpoint Technologies, a Division of ZOLL. Pinpoint, founded in 1993, is headquartered in Boulder, CO, and was acquired by ZOLL Medical in October, 1999. Pinpoint develops computer-aided dispatch, billing and other field data collection software for the emergency medical services (EMS) market. These products combined with resuscitation data from ZOLL’s defibrillators to create RescueNet, the world’s only fully integrated Information Management System for resuscitation.
Richard A. Packer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZOLL commented, “After many years of building a successful company as Pinpoint’s President, David Brown has decided to retire. Mr. Brown has been a valuable member of the ZOLL team, bringing success and leadership since Pinpoint’s inception. We wish him well in his new endeavor.”
Mr. Clayton joins ZOLL from the wireless communications industry, where he most recently was the President of Troy Wireless. In previous positions, he had been the leader of both small and mid-sized organizations. Mr. Clayton received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Purdue University.
Mr. Packer further noted, “To lead Pinpoint in it’s next phase of growth, we are very pleased to welcome Vane to the ZOLL family. We look forward to his immediate contribution. His extensive experience will strengthen our organization.”
